 Sponsored Walk 2026: A Day to Remember!

On Friday 25th September, the entire school came together for our annual Sponsored Walk, and what an incredible day it was!

Blessed with beautiful weather and surrounded by the stunning Wiltshire countryside, our students set off with enthusiasm, determination and smiles on their faces. Over the course of the day, they completed an impressive 10+ mile route, demonstrating remarkable resilience and commitment from start to finish.

We could not be prouder of our students. Throughout the walk, they were outstanding ambassadors for Pewsey Vale School, consistently displaying our core values of Respect, Determination and Excellence. Their behaviour was exemplary, and their positive attitudes were noticed by staff, volunteers and members of the public alike.

The day was not without its rewards! The much-anticipated ice cream van was a welcome sight at the lunch stop and once again at the finish line, providing a well-earned treat after miles of walking.

Events like our Sponsored Walk are about much more than fundraising. They provide opportunities for students to challenge themselves, support one another, build resilience and create lasting memories with friends and staff. The sense of achievement on everyone's faces as they crossed the finish line was truly inspiring.

A huge thank you goes to our staff, volunteers, parents and supporters who helped make the day such a success. Most importantly, thank you to our fantastic students, whose energy, determination and team spirit made the event one to remember.

Now comes the exciting part... How much have we raised? We are busy counting the sponsorship money and can't wait to find out whether we have beaten last year's total. Watch this space for the final fundraising figure!
