SEND
We are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive, regardless of academic or physical need.
The aim is for all young people to leave school empowered with strong qualifications and the confidence to succeed in life.
Support for students with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is rooted in a team approach between home and school, with high-quality teaching and pastoral care at the centre. This “quality first” approach, taken from the SEND Code of Practice, ensures that the highest standards of provision are in place for all learners, particularly those with identified needs.

SEND Team
The Learning Support team identifies and monitors students’ needs and works closely with staff to ensure lessons are accessible to all. Students with more complex or persistent needs receive additional support through targeted interventions and personalised planning.
Mr Tom Robinson, Assistant Headteacher and SENCo, leads SEND provision and has completed the Master’s Level National SENCo Award. He has held the SENCo role since 2019 and can be contacted via the Single Point of Contact.

You can contact the SPOC to:
- Arrange appointments or familiarisation sessions
- Discuss your child’s provision
- Raise concerns or ask questions
- Book appointments for the SENDCo Surgery
Please note: once parents submit an assessment request, the school is contacted directly by HCRG. Families do not need to request information from the SEND department separately, and early contact does not affect the timeline for assessment.
